Yajant Kumar is a highly talented and accomplished musician from Delhi, India. He has dedicated his life to the study and practice of Indian classical music, and has become a respected and sought-after performer and educator in the field. Yajant completed his formal education in music at Delhi University, where he earned his degree in music. During his time at the university, he studied under some of the most renowned musicians in the field of Indian classical music, and honed his skills as a vocalist and instrumentalist. In addition to his formal education, Yajant has also spent many years studying and performing with some of the most respected musicians in India, including Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, and Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma. These experiences have helped him to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the nuances and complexities of Indian classical music, and have shaped his unique style and approach to music. Yajant is known for his exceptional skill as a vocalist, as well as his mastery of several traditional Indian instruments, including the sitar, tabla, and harmonium. He has performed at numerous concerts and festivals throughout India, and has also toured extensively in Europe, the United States, and Canada, sharing his love and passion for Indian classical music with audiences around the world. In addition to his career as a performer, Yajant is also a dedicated educator and mentor, and has taught music to students of all ages and skill levels. He founded Kalavistar with the vision of providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students to learn and grow as musicians, and to inspire a new generation of musicians to carry on the rich legacy of Indian classical music.
